I was thinking more about your issue- your not very clear about what gears are crunching as the typical mosss box has no synchro on first, and can have poor synchro on 2nd, with double declutching beinng required.
Many ( jaguar/ Morgan owners) change their box for a full synchro replacement.
It could be your clutch is fine but lack of synchro or way you are changing her means clusters still moving inside.
Many say it's sensitive to oil type ( not sure if your in a hot country or uk) but Redline MTL suggested. Again need to take care if running overdrive as they can share oil in some cases.

Hi Jim, I think I may have had the last set of seat runners from Frederik,  and they are absolutely beautiful! Thinking about your top hat section, if you've got some from your other seat as a pattern,  you could get this part made relatively cheaply.
Only a thought but hope it helps.
Kind regards Nick

I've double checked and a 5/8" master cylinder is correct for a 1955 car with a Moss gearbox.

Do you mean the 2 litre drophead, if so black or beige coloured gauge.

Does anyone out there have an oil pressure gauge for a 2000 drophead they would like to sell?  Even one fit only for parts will do.

OK thanks Luke, looking at master cylinders for sale on line I am getting mixed messages as to whether it should be 3/4" or 5/8"  for a 1955 AC engined car.  Any thoughts?

ACOC News and Events / NEC Classic Car Show - 2024.
Last post by ME113 - July 24, 2024, 21:04:12
Once again we are going to be at the NEC for the Classic Car Show this November.

Would anyone be interested in having their car on the stand?  Right now we are looking for potentially two more cars.

We would need the car at the NEC during Thursday 7th November for setting up, and the show runs to Sunday night.

Please let me know if you are interested.

Thanks.

Jeremy.

Andy,
I just do not remember how much space there is, but as you are inserting a bolt there must be a nut that has to go in there ? If the bullet is made short enough it should just drop free as it clears the bracket....

Thanks to Barry I now will soon have the tracks that fit to the seat. Now I only need the top hat track parts that bolt to the floor. Anybody have an idea?
