Hi all, I have tried to add pics to illustrate my question.

But anyway here go'es wih the problem.

Simply put the fusebox diagramme in my Manual bears no relationship with the actual fusebox, so I am struggling to figure out which fuse is which.

Just in case my pics are not there, my cars box is laid out as follows.
5 relays in a side to side row at the back.
2 groups of 6 fuses, placed side by side, with fuses orientated front to back, all in front of the relays.
Each group of 6 fuses has a separate clear plastic cover.

My car is late '84 build chassis 1035.

Dos anybody have a manual showing an early fusebox?

Nick,
Hopefully someone will front up with a diagram. The layout sound similar to the one on my CRS passenger footwell.
I had a similar issue with a series 2 landrover I had to rewire and most of the colours conform to the Lucas Uk wiring code.
Not sure if Ac did the same:

I would simply remove each  fuse to see what it operates and label them up myself.

I hope you wont need a replacement lucas smoke kit:
