Planning of these two events has progressed along the outline previously reported in November 2014 edition of Action.

Members can partake of any or all of the events – the Midland Meander on Saturday 23rd May; Dinner on Saturday evening at the Salford Hall Hotel; National Day on Sunday 24th May at Ragley Hall near Alcester.

Hotel accommodation has been reserved at the Salford Hall Hotel for the Friday & Saturday nights, and as detailed in November's edition, the intention is that members book individually by contacting the Hotel themselves quoting reference BK32774. Tel 01386 871300; e mail reception@salfordhall.co.uk ; web site www.salfordhall.co.uk

A preliminary booking for 20 rooms on the Friday night and 30 rooms on the Saturday night has been made at the Salford Hall Hotel.
Provisional rates are Double £80 per room per night; Single £60 per room per night.

The Hotel is a Grade 1 listed building with 37 bedrooms in total of which 3 are single rooms, and 4 have level access facility. Those members not wishing to stay at the hotel or partake in the Midland Meander will be welcome to attend the dinner on Saturday evening and should contact Steve Hall to advise (0116 2393198 / Stephen_hall@talktalk.net)

The Midland Meander, a relaxed run of circa 80 miles will start & finish from the car park of the Salford Hall Hotel on the Saturday and further details will appear in a subsequent edition of ACtion.

The National Day will be at Ragley Hall which coincidentally will be the venue for a large classic vehicle event on both the Sunday & Monday of this Bank Holiday weekend.  We believe this should provide added interest to the day. The ACOC have been assigned a separate individual area to display our cars.

The organisers have negotiated a massively reduced entrance fee to Ragley Hall (£3.50 per car as opposed to circa £10 per person) but to take advantage of this ACOC members will need to pre-book with the organiser on the form below and in the next edition of Action before 2 May.

The Midland Meander is a relaxed run of circa 75 miles, through the North Cotswold area.  It will start from the car park of the Salford Hall Hotel on the Saturday morning at 10.00am; the suggested route is in the form of a road-book; entrants are free to take the opportunity to stop off along the way to explore as they wish.  Broadway is the suggested venue for lunch.  Please contact Steve Hall if you are in need of further information.

The National Day will be at Ragley Hall which coincidentally will be the venue for a large classic vehicle event on both the Sunday & Monday of this Bank Holiday weekend (the ACOC will only be present on the Sunday).  We believe this should provide added interest to the day. The ACOC have been assigned a separate individual area to display our cars.  The organisers have negotiated a massively reduced entrance fee to Ragley Hall (£3.50 per car as opposed to circa £10 per person) but to take advantage of this ACOC members will need to pre-book by 2nd May with the organiser on the form contained in the March edition of Action & on the website.

All that remains is to pray for good weather and we hope to see you during the weekend.

Thanks to Frank and Thelma, and Steve and Carol, for organising a great event.  The Salford Hall Hotel was excellent and we were very lucky with the weather on Sunday.  There was a good selection of ACs; every year we seem to get a good turnout of one particular model and this year it was the Greyhound.

Congratulations to the brothers Booth for deservedly winning the ACOC car of the day award for the Hurlock Trophy.......
