Just wanted to make a quick post on this event for two reasons.

The first was to thank Murray Shepherd and all who helped him organise and run a brilliant day, as well as all the members and friends that turned up. Such a great crowd of people and atmosphere. So pleased I went and that this event has been "Revived". A decent amount of sporting rivalry and support from all - thanks specially to Neil Fisher or Redline from me here. (I'm told I beat him because the car he was driving was for sale and he was being careful. That's racing driver excuse number 36 if I recall)

Secondly, for posterity and anyone looking at the forum in future wondering if they should attend, I would wholeheartedly recommend you do so. Even if you're a novice or driving something really special to you - it's worth doing to experience these cars as much as you're willing to. There's no pressure to go any faster than you need , plenty of people there for the first time (I was one a few years ago), lots of experienced hands to encourage it give advice as needed. The hardest part by far for me was driving a cobra 2 hours home in the pouring rain :)

Far fewer AC cars this year than before, I hope more attend in future. It's a really special event.

Thanks again to all involved. See you in 2026

ACOC Castle Combe Sprint.
Thank you Murray and Team for putting on the First ACOC Castle Combe Sprint meeting.
A great successful  event for both Competitors and supporters.
During the day interspersed with light showers, it was great to catch up with 23 ACOC members and a few Lotus (Paul Matty) Hill Climb competitor's. Caught up on Family matters, Motor events and put the world to right, especially regards the change and response to Financial and political situations over the past 15 months.. And watch some really competitive runs enjoyed by all....
Great to see that many  competitors and Visitors stayed to attend  the Awards Ceremony and thank the Marshalls, without whom the event couldn't run.
Looking forward to reading a write up and seeing Peter De Rousset-Halls Pictorial tribute in a future edition of ACtion.
Glad to hear that Sam & Connie's Recovery vehicle arrived before the track Gates were locked by the track security guards, and they arrived  safely home before 21.00 hours.
Hope every one had an uneventful safe journey home.
Well Done Murray and Team, plus all those who supported the event. Date for 2026 ???
Cheers for now.
