I recently came across these two different AK02 cars and curious what is the story here. As I cannot get onto the Club Cobra Forum ,again!!, could someone clear this up for me here please?

As per the registry AK02 is listed as Blue, Doug Nash, Side Exhaust, 15", 3 Ear Spinners
Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler!

This does not match the entry in the SAAC World Registry of Cobra's & GT40s, 4th Ed where the car is sited as being Red.  Not sure if I read this code correctly as some of it does not make sense however this is what I interpret it to be.

S = Standard not light Weight
L = LHD
R = Red
N = No Stripes
B = Black Interior
1 = ?
4 = 4 speed
-
N = no hood scoop
-

-
1 = ?
R = present colour red (as of 1/08)

Got 'PASSED IN' at $AUD 647,000. I believe the owner was looking for closer to a mill!?

The real AK02 is the red one that was sent to Roush to figure out why they handled like crap. Bob Nagsted concluded that the rubber bushings in the suspension were designed for the Goodyear Power-cushion cross-ply tire and we were using radials. He actually used the Ford test track to sort the car out and was as nice a man as he was smart.
