I have a 2 litre saloon and wish to clean the three air filters. What is the best way of doing this? They look like they are wire mesh filters. Do I just use an air line to blow them through, or is there a better way? Tried to post a photo without success.

Not sure if it 's the correct method,  but I've always let them soak in a container of Petrol. washed then out, then Blown through with Airline.

Surprising just how much crud comes out of each wire/gauze filter. May need to carry out same proceedure more than once with fresh petrol, if you haven't cleaned them out for some time,  then you should check your mixture on each carb as the ratio of air to fuel mix could be very different.

Hello!
i did cleaned the filters and the wire mesh is now quite clean.

Should be now soaked in oil to catch dirt? or just left dry?

Thanks!
Eddie
