Hi = I sent a PM interest but not sure if the website migration lost it. If you have it I would love to see a copy!

Hi Malcolm

Curious if you did anything in the rebuild about Air Charge Temperature? Ive also had a rebuild after a piston cracked at the Goodwood Sprint a few years ago, and did not increase the capacity but did many of the other mods you would expect including a new Syvecs ECU. The tuner noted very high intake temps and suggested an intercooler or possibly water/methanol injection which would be much easier to fit given the engine layout. The gain is estimated at about 50hp if I can reduce the temps apparently.

Many thanks Barrie. I was thinking pf something along those lines, but there is limited space to then remove them. Perhaps a short piece of rubber fuel hose might work. I'll report back!
Many thanks

Ace 'Brooklands' Forum / Re: Rear Wishbone Suspension R...

You can try searching the "Brooklands" part of the forum, the subject as been discussed but nobody appears to have a definitive answer. So I'd be very interested if you find out what parts are used.

I wanted to dismantle to whole assembly to sandblast and paint, but couldn't shift the bolts on the lower wishbone so I gave up.

Andy,
It cannot be too difficult as I had my G'hound diff in an out and do not recollect a problem. Maybe you need some 'bullets' that will centre up the spacers as you tap the bolts through ?

Latest on this is that I eventually found a firm which built up the original casing so as to avoid the weak spot.
Photo attached. I am now in the process of refitting the differential, and am somewhat foxed as to hold the rear spacers, which go in the voids at the back of the diff, in place while the unit is fitted. Once it is in place, there is no room to insert the spacers, so as far as I can see they need somehow to be held in place by something pretty thin which can then be removed (?how) once the differential is in place and the mounting bolts have been inserted. Any thoughts welcome!

Here are some pics of disc conversion so far.

First one is original AC spindle.
Second is AC spindle turned down a gnats c**k to accept the Jaguar bearing and back bearing support, also caliper bracket fitted.
Third is complete disc and caliper, Mk2 Jag disc, Mk2 Jag inner and outer bearings, XJ6 calipers.
