Closing price £17250.  The engine photos suggest that it has not had a new water jacket.

Yep, you're seeing my grubby workshop floor through that hole, which is about .625". The pin that fits in it is about .615", so not much chance for the spring to wander far.

Right, now that I can see the hole I realise there is a layer of something (or is it just the ground?) on the underside of the plate. Isn't the hole larger than it should be anyway?

Interesting and hope it finds a good home.  A 12/24 it is not - as a six cylinder, it will be a 16/something.  The 12 HP cars had the Anzani four.

It must be just a trick of the camera you're seeing (is the dress blue and black, or is it white and gold?). There definitely is a hole through both the pad and the top of the tower.

Thomas,
If you are rebuilding to the extent shewn in Tom's photo' then you cannot drill the hole for the spring pin head til you have the whole thing set up and camber angle equal both sides. I would suppose that when built originally at Thames Ditton they would rely on the chassis jig being spot on and the spring being supplied with the pin dead centre so that the camber was reliably equal on all cars.
Having seen lots of Ace and Aceca over the years I fear this confidence might be somewhat misplaced....

Am I the only one surprised to see no aligning pin hole at the centre of the tower? Was the upper plate replaced at some point?
