Thank you all for the replies. I was able to order custom made copies of the gaskets much cheaper than importing a set that might not be right.

https://www.ramgaskets.com/ in Cornwall gave a very reasonable quote in a matching material.

Barrie's suggestion of using copper sounded great, it is difficult to remove the header bolts, so lasting solution makes sense. Lacking the skill and patience to cut copper myself I did try Stephens Gaskets who put me on to Dobsons Gaskets in Keighley. They quoted what I considered to be a reasonable price to produce new gaskets in copper, so I ordered them.

Thanks
Kevin

Hi,

Does anybody know where I can source the individual exhaust manifold gaskets to suit the factory SVO alloy head/carb engine option? There is one gasket for each exhaust port with a diagonal two stud patteren.

Thanks Kevin

Touch wood I have never had to replace mine, so have no personal experience to share, but it may be worth chatting to:

Does the orginal car still exist? If so the registrar could help you trace the present owner from the engine number. If it was my car I would want the orginal engine and greatly appreciate the chance of buying it, even if had some thing more interesting currently fitted.

Redline Engineering here in the UK have recently started to produce 15 inch wheels. I enquired yesterday and they told me they are produced in the UK and primarily designed to fit the Autokraft cars, as are their stainless steel spinners. They didn't have any in stock but expect their next batch within the next two weeks.

Has anybody bought a set of the Redline wheels and if so what do they think of them?

Sounds like a ball joint wear problem to me. Check out http://www.acownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3739 (post on this forum by 'French Frie' from Jan 21st 2015 if the link doesn't work) It is not some thing to ignore and there are pictures of two of the different types of ball joint used on our cars including the early one. I believe that Gerry Hawkridge can supply the early type and maybe advise you if it is prudent to do the job yourself.
