Can you not get someone to make a frame from an existing car with working hood and frame. Mine for example?

Its been a slightly disappointing six months.

Hopefully all sorted now.

New rear shocks and springs
Bespoke radiator fitted.
New alarm and immobiliser
Electrical fault caused by a loose earth wire..........days of my life I will never get back  :)

All part of the fun though.

According to the register this was written off in October 1997, CAT C, I believe.
Looks good for the money though.

Hi

Anyone know where the fuel pump relay is.

I know where the fuel pump relay fuse is but..........there seems to be no relay anywhere.

Haven't been able to identify exactly where it is.

It would seem to have been leaking for a considerable time. (Odd that I only noticed it when I removed the hardtop- change of air flow i guess).

I've coated the inside of the tank with POR15 and having it pressure tested early next week.

The solution seems a bit easy, so i'm not holding my breath - I don't fancy the alternatives much.  ;D

Harrier,

I concur with everything that David has already said.

I had hoped that one of the club members who could have provided a comparison might have responded which is why I didn't comment earlier.

I've had mine for a year and a half (S500ACE). The car has been great on a daily basis for going to work and better on long journeys.

The intermittent wiper function and light switch didn't work when I bought it it and I've renewed the rear springs and shocks which were badly worn (about £700.00).

It doesn't accelerate like a Lotus 7 or 5ltr TVR Griffith but its a HELL of a fun car to drive.

The one your looking at also seems cheap.

As David said, give it a test drive. You'll fall in love with it. I did.

Thanks for that, I will.

I had been thinking about putting it on a rolling road just for fun to check out the BHP.

Luckily I've had no problems with mine so far. Very smooth acceleration and good 'top & bottom end' power.

I'm not aware of any modifications. But it had a number of owners so its possible, though unlikely i think. Are there any obvious signs?
