FYI, the March edition of Classic Cars is in the shops now and has a four page buyers guide on the MkIV. A certain black car was used for the photos and I think, on balance, the article is positive for the MkIV.

John.

The car looks good and you don't look bad either!   Everyone reading that you we given it as a wedding present will think "lucky b*****d"!

Thank you I'm very pleased with the photos.
The journalist got it slightly wrong when he wrote that I was given the car, what I said was we bought the car as a wedding present to ourselves. I had suggested to Dee that since people had already attended our previous weddings it would make much more sense to spend the money on something useful instead of a big wedding......luckily she agreed and we bought the car.[:)][:)]

Now that is a bit different,  We thought you were bought on the promise of a Cobra and was a kept man.   Not so .........
Now, Which half is Dees?? or is it  "What is yours is Hers and what is Hers is Hers"..... hhmmm ....  Might just make a play for Dee with Cobra or stay  Friends ...   ...  Has Dee got a Sister ???

Hi Jim,
Thanks, I'm pleased you like it. I think the journalist was very fair in his article.
   Cheers - John.

I went to Barnes & Noble book store yesterday and but could not find this magazine. Please give me the exact name of the magazine and possibly a place I can buy one online.

   Thank you,

I don't think this issue is available in the US yet. The last issue I bought was the one with the Morgan on the cover. I bought it in January and the date of the magazine is January 2009. In the UK the magazine must come out well in advance of its cover date, like R&T comes out a couple months in advance here. The magazine is called "Thoroughbred and Classic Cars". I buy this mag all the time at Barnes and Noble or Border's books. It should be available in a couple weeks. John

The home page of the magazine is Classic Cars and it is the March edition.

It is a UK publication called Classic Cars and the article is in the March edition it has a picture of a light blue MGB on the front cover. The one Linklaw mentions with the Morgan on the cover is the January edition. The two links below (should) take you to the magazine website and an example of the front cover image.

I see you've made it as a centrefold now!

Lovely pose, sleek body, but as ever the staples in an awkward place!

Rear quarter light on my copy of ACtion!

   Looks really good. [:)]

cobham cobra

Thank you, but I don't think anyone would want me to be a centrefold ![:D][:D]
I think the car's five minutes of fame have now passed and I'm hoping we get a decent spring and summer so I can enjoy using it[8D]. After the car's winter hibernation I finally got the opportunity to use it last weekend, so it's not quite as clean and shinny as it was.[V]

   All the best - John.

Hope you got home in time John! and had a pleasant evening :-)

Gooders looked nice in the sunshine and even 6008 made the long haul to shake off the cobwebs. I'll ask young Nik to post a pic here - I got terminally bored with trying last time :-(
