ACs in the USA?

Hello-

I am new to the forum and have recently joined the ACOC as well. My late uncle owned two ACs - a '37 4-seater sports tourer and an Ace Bristol. I'm interested in making contact with some AC-minded folks in the USA. First and foremost, I hope to get the pre-war car, which is completely disassembled, into the hands of someone who might want to restore it or perhaps just put the pieces to good use in other ACs. Secondarily, it looks like the Ace Bristol will eventually be coming to live with me (!) and in that case I will be needing plenty of help in getting it back on the road again.

Any comments, suggestions or recommendations are most welcomed and appreciated, either here or via private message. Thank you.

Welcome to the AC Owners Club and the Forum.

We can help you on both counts,  But too save wasting   your time and that of others,  Can you Narrow  the USA down a Bit.  where do you live?
East Coast / West Coast...... better still which State ?, Then we can get a member or two to make contact. ;)
Can you also confirm Chassis Number of the Ace Bristol  you have inherited ?  BEX????

Thank you, Keith. I'm in Pennsylvania. The PVT is in Florida. So east coast would be preferable.
Would it be best to have discussion of the Ace on the other forum board?

Best keep the two separate as each has its own  Model - section on the Forum .
Can you start a new thread in the Ace - Aceca section making reference  to chassis number  (BEX??? ) and History or Restoration

In the meantime can you please  email me a picture or two of your Ace and Confirm Chassis Number,  details will be shared with Tim Isles ,
The  official ACOC Ace Bristol Registrar,  who should  hopefully have some data on file.

Email sent, Keith.
Any other input on finding a home for the '37 4-seater sports tourer is welcomed.

Welcome to the Club. I too joined as a result of being the lucky heir of an AC Ace (AEX53). The Club is a wonderful resource for those of us needing help understanding our cars. Everyone has provided valuable help and advise. I am still collecting the parts to convert my car back from a V8 back to an Ace motor with the able help of Rod Briggs.
I live in the Washington DC area and am happy to share any knowledge that I have gained.

Thanks, Phil. I sent you an email.

Hi  notacarguy
I've just found your post on your uncle's ACs.

I've been corresponding with people in the US
folk who imply some rights to sell the dismantled car.....
of which I have a ton of photos

Your uncle's AC is the exact-same model
I once owned in the Last Century...
I would be super-keen to restore
your car if it is still available.

Last I heard, it was shipped to England....
but I've had no response all the past month.

Would you like to email me direct
and let's see if there's a way to rescue
the sad state of it, pls?

In case you don't have a direct link,
pls email me here

hommedespere AT gmail DOT com

Thanks  a mill
