Can anyone help me figure out what AC Racing Green really looks like?   I am in the process of restoring BEX1151 which has some vintage racing history in the USA and I thought Racing Green might complement to this history. However, I've never seen the color in person, only photos which may or may not be accurate. Is there a source for a paint formula or an actual sample that a paint shop can scan to create a formula?  Any help or leads would be great.

Hi Terry,
I suggest you could contact Steve Gray at steve@brooklandsmotorcompany.co.uk
Steve works on many AC's and has a great deal of info and memorabilia from the AC factory so he may be able to help you with details of the original colours.

Other contact points for Steve are below.

Thanks for the other email addresses. I have sent an email to Steve at Brooklands but haven't received a reply.  Maybe the ether swallowed it. I'll try again with 1 of the other url.

   Thanks    Terry

The name of 'AC Racing Green' is "Dualessence Mist Green"

I don't believe AC every sold a color called "racing green"; at least it is not included in their color swatch. Their closest is Vineyard Green.

Just what A-Snake mentioned, I guess Terry means the colour used on the  1959 Le Mans car and some other racing ACs.
Much different to the "normal" (British) Racing Green, indeed it seems to be Mist Green.
