Rubber fuel lines

Owners, just a warning , at under 10K in milage, yet @31 years old, I've had the rubber fuel hodes fail at the tank /pump/filter area @ the scuttle and rear axle housing area. check these lines for dry rot! jim

You should worry! Mine also perished at around the same mileage and around 14 years old. At the factory it was fitted overlength so was just folded so it would fit instead of being cut to a sensible length. Hence it perished at the fold and ejected a great deal of petrol. A bit scary though. Mine is now aeroquipped!
