   Carol Bird Interiors? [:D]

Seriously though, Welcome to the ACOC Forum, where are you located, and for what car do you require wet-weather gear?

I suggest you try Steve Grey at http://www.brooklandsmotorcompany.co.uk/
   or Gerry Hawkridge at
   http://www.hawkcars.co.uk/

Steve or Gerry are both very helpful and if they don't make them they can at least tell you where to go to get good quality items made. The problem is both of these companies are in the UK and the current UK/US exchange rate will work against you.
I assume you have already looked at http://www.clubcobra.com/ and
   http://www.saac.com/update.html

Thanks will try them. No luck with clubs here. Quality of tops I have seen not worth the money.

Mr AC66, you didn`t mention whether it is a soft or hard top that you are interested in, but to give you an idea of the 'bespoke' nature of the sidescreens, check out these chapters of
    Marc Gruninger`s Hawk build(pt.17) & Hawk build(pt.20).

AC Ace Bristol

Hi Nikbj68  &  AC66.

In the USA, for a vast range of AC Ace, Aceca Parts, maybe Cobra....  Check out   " Ron Leonard.   1812 Crestview Drive, Durango, CO 81301.

Used to produce AC Exchange on a regular basis backm in late 1980s through to late1990s.  His AC parts list  covers so many repro and origonal parts you could rebuild your AC from this one stop shop.

My last Partsv list  and  dozens of back issues of AC Exchange came in the boot ( Trunk ) of BEX333 when I purchased my Ace Bristol, 8 years ago.

If any one out there can confirm if Ron Leonard is still trading it could help a lot of AC members both in USA  & Europe.

Whilst I have your attention, BEX333 was shipped out to Seattle in 1957. ( Wite Ace Bristol with red interior)  was raced from 1957 to 1964,  wore the licence number ARZ913, It was resprayed Red sometime during its racing life, and was possible maintained by Al Doyan who ran a Body and engine shop in Seattle / Washington 98004.

If any one can through any light on early History of BEX333 it would be appreciated.

My address is in ACtion magazine as the Trophies and Awards officer for the ACOC.

Many thanks for reading this note, enjoy the Forum and hopefully come up with the odd picture to confirm racing History of my Ace.

The Checkered History on the Race track was substatiated by the number of Repairs found in the front and rear whilst carrying out numerous Repairs at Brooklands Motor Company over the past 8 years.

The Black Body work looks a million $s.... I must agree with you John (Chobham Cobra) Cobras And Aces look there best in BLACK.

Keith,

Yep, Ron is still going. I know because I need to send him two Aceca rear screens for clive. Also who was the first owner, my own Ac Bristol was raced in the US during 1957 (BEX284) and my history file is growing, so I have lots of contacts in the US.

Send me a private email if you want to discuss further (john_abel289@hotmail.com)

   John.
