Aceca with Ford Engine Wanted

I have a client in the US that would like to buy an Aceca with a Ford engine, a Marcos or an Apollo 5000 GT manual coupe.  He is looking for the sporty body with the American engine.

Thought we found a car but in the end decided to pass.  So looking again for an Aceca with a V-8 engine or an Apollo 5000 GT manual coupe. Would consider either.  Looking for driver or better.

Thanks for that lead.  The seller got back to me immediately but the car is a project, albeit a worthy one, because it is not easy to find these cars. My client is looking for a car to use as a daily driver so we are going to pass on this one.

A K3 is an excellent choice also. Did he just buy (steal) the one on BaT?

Yes.  I saw your posts on the site.  Not a fan of a client buying a car without an inspection and he was adamant about a coupe - which of course this is not.  Fingers crossed it works for him.
   
    I did not represent that sale but I know a few guys that thought they got a "steal" on BAT or at an auction and unfortunately it turned out to be a steal all right but they weren't the ones doing the stealing.
   
   Never, ever buy a car without an inspection.  It boggles the mind that someone would drop over 100k and not even know if they like the way the car handles.  Or if it has mechanical issues.

Yeah, will see how it turn out in the long run for him! Fingers crossed. If the car turns out to be as represented, he got a deal, even though it's an automatic and has a few incorrect bits.

    "The difference between an Apollo and an Allard is that the Apollo will go around corners and stop. If your client has never raced or driven an Allard he is in for a big surprise."
   
   Allards are known to be very difficult cars to drive.
