I just read this. Since Steve Grey is doing them I assume they'll be in aluminum rather than composite as with the 50th anniversary cars:

Perhaps the "9 original, new 260 V8s" are coming from the same barn that held Shelby's "unfinished chassis"

We need a ruling form the International Cobra Czar on this one....................

He's too dosed on Valium to formulate a sane reply. I think it was the half-million English pounds price tag plus taxes, fees, extra beer funds etc etc that have to be added. (Secretly - tell no one - he wishes he could find a business where he could be the scammer and not the scamee)

Plus his lawyer keeps slapping his typing wrist :)

Steve Grey lends credibility to this.....hope Certain parties ( the one who likes to go to bank on some bodies back) does not get near check book

No doubt they will be beautifully made. Do they come with Type Approval or are these track cars - or for static display? For half a mill, I would need to know.

Trouble is, I don't care for either colour and can I have mine with a 289 please? (Heathen)

A brand new 2016 car with an original 260 V8, original bodywork and interior and using the 'Cobra' trademark. Hmm.

And another website to add to the three existing ones:

All recent ACs are limited editions, the MkI 260's 9 being towards the upper end of edition size. I'll defer to Constant, but don't think any other recent AC models (MkV, MkVI, 378GT, MkII Classic, Ace 221, Mamba etc) have yet hit double digits.

Alan 'AC is now back in business' Lubinsky and associates legacy car building passion used to embrace larger numbers: "Mr. Lubinsky....said....that 800 could be built annually by 2012". Maybe AC has cottoned on to part, but not necessarily the whole part, of the 'Aim Low and Don't Miss' principle.

Believe that is "over promise and never deliver"!

Methinks the "Cobra" trademark is not part of this. Ford owns that and they are not likely to allow the use by AC. Having negotiated the last "truce" between said parties I do not foresee this happening.
