Hi

Does anyone know who does the front axle kingpins or how they are done.

I have a spare axle that I want to refurb and look at converting to disc brakes, but want to get it all refurbed first.

   Cheers  gary

Gary, Barry Howsley has stocked king pin sets for some models, so could be worth a try. Contact details usually in the ad section of ACtion.

Hi Gary. Brian Eacott is worth a try too. He supplied a kingpin set for me sometime ago for mine.  Tony.

Hello Gary
Just read your post re King Pins, presume I know that axle! Mine has really tightened up while standing and requires a lot of effort. Were the others relatively free, if not how did you get them going?

I've tried WD40, heat and large levers - combination of the last two is more effective but not yet free enough.

Hi  Karl, Yes you do know the axle, The Kingpins were nice and free, I have not replaced as yet as now dealing with engine swap. It looks like I will need to do the bushes as well, but this is more a longer term thing as also looking to convert the axle to disc braking before fitting to car.

   All fun with these cars.

Want to get her sorted for next year as it the 70th for the saloon.

   Cheers  G

Has anyone fitted kingpins and bush to a 2 litre, there is little in the handbook to suggest how to do. I read somewhere that the bush needs reaming????

I have fitted kingpins sets to other axles in the past and these were a straight fit, why is AC different?

   Cheers  G

I managed to get a set of Kingpins from Classic Spares http://www.classic-spares.co.uk at £138 a full set. They have more in stock.
