Come and visit Worcestershire for the weekend.
For those who would like to compete, there is a Class for AC Cars, with practice on Saturday and competition on Sunday.
For a more leisurely visit, join the Slow Food Safari on Saturday an 80 mile route visiting artisan food suppliers and on Sunday watch the Hill Climb from the dedicated parking area.
There is a Tapas evening on Saturday at the Peacock an 18th. Century Inn.
   Competitors contact Roger Thomas <roger@mac1901.co.uk>

There is now an online entry form for the Shelsley Walsh hill climb on 2 - 3 May:

   Closing date is 2 April.

This was a cracking event last year and I would highly recommend as a gentle introduction to motor sport.

   Last years AC entry.

   Bryan Moseley - 3000ME
   Richard Wright - Cobra
   Keith Lessiter - Ace Bristol
   Andy Mitchell - Aceca
   Malcolm Thorne - Super Blower
   David Goose - Ace Brooklands
   Simon Davies - CRS

Hopefully we can muster a few more cars this year, if you have a non race "B" licence or above and appropriate overalls / helmet get your application in quick as you can.

Also a great spectator event for those without a licence, on the Sunday last year all AC's were invited to have a run up the hill at lunchtime.

AC Ace Bristol

Who's entered this Year [?]

To my knowledge as of today, we have 4  (5) entered... Dave Goose, Bryan Moseley, Malcolm Thorne and myself. + ( Sarah ?? in Lotus [?])

Last year was a brilliant social event with a competitive element thrown in,  30 or 40 second blast up the hill a few times in the morning, same again in the afternoon,[;)].
Rest of time socialising and possibly tinkering with the car .....  more  AC competitors required and  AC spectators welcome with possible free blast up the Famous Hill during lunch break...[;)]

Last year was a fab event, only did the sunday then but am considering both days this year!
Here`s what a leisurely trip looks like in an AC Greyhound.

Nik, didn't know your greyhound only had a 3 spd box [:)] its not one of those special race day weight savers I hope [;)]

I'd have wanted 5-point belts and brown corduroy overalls if Dad had got into 4th, and heaven help me if he'd needed Overdrive!!!! LOL

There is only one entry for the Safari on the Saturday and about 6 have indicate that they will come to the Peacock.
As the Safari involves a great deal of work and suppliers and farmers make special arrangements I am cancelling this, as there is only one entry, my apologies.
For Saturday evening at the Peacock I have cancelled the Tapas Evening, the room and Tapss Menu,is still available for those that wish to join us from 7.00 pm, no prior notification required.
Dedicated Parking Area is there for ACs on the Sunday with the possibility of a demonstration run up the Hill.

Well done Simon considering the conditions were fairly damp. I hope you have cleaned all the mud off!!!!
David was so close in 2nd place bearing in mind he must be carrying an extra 250 kilos with Bryan following up in 3rd place.

Great day had by all [:D]

Peter - Shelsley is a wonderful place to visit, many thanks for all your efforts.

I would like to point that it is the Ace that carries most of the extra weight, although the Talbot Hotel breakfast is extremely large and the race suit rather more snug than it once was 250kg is an awful lot [:)]

Fingers crossed for next year, the Ace should have lost a few pounds by then !

   Cheers,

Ahem.... better late than never! [:I]
Here are a few of my snaps from Shelsley, more to follow as time permits!
