Any news about the badge????

The AC 3000ME wheel centre and door badges are similar to this too. On that model the badge is located by two offset 'prongs' on the back. The badge is backed by a separate 1.9inch dia black disc to provide the colour contrast. There are 6 badges per car.

The 3000ME badge was made by Fattorini. A drawing number D-67365 is shown for the part in the 3000ME listing. As 3000ME drawing numbers generally start with an 8------, this could be an AC Cars number from an earlier model (Frua?), or a Fattorini number.

I'll try again. Is it possible to purchase a complete nose badge or not?

cliffordl

I was waiting to see how many were wanted before placing an order. Great Dane - so far you are the only person wanting one.
The cost price for one is likely to be around £200. Email me directly and I'll let you have the contact details for the tooling shop.

Hi Clifff,
   Any news about the badge?

Siegfreid, only you and Great Dane showed any interest. I gave him the details of the maher and he did contact them (as they seemed unclear as where they had put the moulds) - I'm not sure if he got his badge though.

Hi Cliff
This is not a pleasant story.
If it is still possible to obtain the print I can try  to let it casting it in Belgium.

I got two complete badges from the Company. They could not find the mould for the outer ring, so i had to send them an original to copy.

I spoke to them yesterday. The company is CollierWebb in Eastbourne. They do recall making the badges for Peder and i so hopefully can now find the moulds.

Bought this one last week via a internet platform ( not Ebay) for 30 GBP. Don't know how to turn it. [:)]

   Looks fine to me! [;)]

Both Badges whether Southern or Northern Hemisphere, look very good.
Would have thought ACOC members would jump at the chance to secure quality reproduction badges that differ only in the way they secure to their AC.

Hopefully the response is good with deposits paid up front and your venture produces quicker results than the 183 Fuel Filler cap saga of a few years back.

   Good Luck with the venture.[;)]

So i will keep the southern one, thanks Nick [:)]

The speed nuts on the pins are brand new and the rubber layer on them has never seen pressure.

The badge was sold by a Lady from the UK. Later during the conversation she told me that her husband probably was involved in building the frame of my car at AC Autokraft.
