Does anyone know if any 1983 IV had 15" knock off wheels from factory?

silty

The Mk IV Register indicates that a number did have 15" wheels.  Hope that helps.

A very few of the very earliest ones did, and most of the Lightweight family subsequently of course

I have a 1984 with 15" wheels from factory.

Original factory literature lists 16" , as cars were bespoke what was fitted could vary by car. A majority if not plurality were 16's.

REV

I agree most were 16" wheels, but both fit and I think the 15" look more period and better on the car.

The esthetics of the 15 with period 60's rubber is betterno doubt, but was not the question.

REV

The answer was a plain.... Yes.

But it's a fairly dull answer and explains very little. It got muddied by the 16" reply, which was not the answer to the question either.

Early cars had factory fitted 15" wheels.

My reply was trying to be helpful.

Anyone know what width the original 15" wheels were and did they have different F/R offsets?

SJ351

Autokraft and Hawk 15" wheels (made from the Autocraft moulds) are different to the 60's ones I found. They show less threads protruding through the spinner. 7.5" and 9.5" wide from memory.

I have not measured the offsets but noticed it when I fitted some new Trigo wheels to a MK1V - they fouled the front steering arms. These were sold as 'exact copies' of the '60's wheel and are good value, although the rear dish section is wrong. They still look good though. Vintage wheels do a similar wheel that you can specify the offset on when you order.

Does anyone have any 15" Autocraft or Hawk wheels for sale? I need a spare set.
