   Why, with 2 hours to go and the inevitable feeding frenzy that would have seen a rapid(rabid?) hike in bids, would the seller end the auction? [?] I`m sure you could have added $5-10k, if not £`s to that.

Interesting end to the auction  - it will be equally interesting to see who bought it and what happens to it next.   I wonder if it will turn up for sale somewhere else with  a less flamboyant description?
