In case you missed John Owen's post which is hidden away in another thread, here it is again:

Just for information the AC Cars Web site www.accars.eu has been updated with some photos of the factory in Malta.

Just answer a couple of questions with the correct answers!!

   1) The MKV uses Stoptech brakes (Front and rear discs with top hats and bracketry specifically made for AC plus Front calipers) as AP stopped production of the calipers and discs used on the CRS - all AP invoices were paid!!

   2) There were two 212 SC's built. Both to my knowledge are with happy owners. The engine was a 3.5 ltr twin turbo, 350 hp, 300lb ft torque with 85% ot the torque available between 1500 and 5500 rpm and weighed less than 200 kg complete, with a 6 speed manual transmission. The total weight of the car was less than 1000kg, Lotus stopped development and production of the V8 engine hence it was no longer an option.

   3) All future aluminium cars will be built in the UK under AC control.

   Regards

The comment about the aluminium cars being 'built in the UK under AC control' is interesting. Suggests an arrangement similar to that between Autokraft and AC in the '80s.

If it`s whom I think it is, they should be of an extremely high quality! [;)]

Good to see the MKV in production in Malta. Aluminium Cars from Brooklands(?) would be the icing on the cake.
