Hello Paul/Terry,

Thanks for the information - I have to know now - what was the 0-100-0 of the car? [:D] I'll definitely be joining the club and will be rolling along to the pub meet at the end of January.

Have a few photo's - not sure how to post them here? (but they're on pistonheads http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=476556&i=20)

Have a Great New Year All[}:)]

Congatulations, you are the owner of one of the most unique cars in AC's history. the lotus powertrain and CRS body differentiate from any other Cobra style car ever done. The frame is MKIII/MKIV and at the time they were done in UK, AC still had craftsman (not to say they don't now)and were still bespoke and truly handbuilt cars.

Just to let you know that I was given a test run as a passenger in the 212 S/C. A few months later at the opening of the Rockingham Stadium the car was used as the pace car for the Nacar entrants. Neil Fisher of Redline Engineering was at the time with AC and he drove the car to the event & back. I am not sure who drove the car as the Nascar pace.
There seems to be one car with front low spoilers and the other without. At the time the pace car was without but were these added as a later mod?

   Hope this helps.

   Regards

   It is the same car.

James, congratulations for the acquisition of this most interesting mount, combining two of Britains most famous car manufacturers, AC and Lotus.

Is this chassis number CRS(L)9518 ?

   Enjoy it!

It was on eBay towards the end of June, but found no bidders there, starting @ 345k, Buy-it-now price of £60k...so it looks like James will get some summer motorin` to a Lotus soundtrack!
If you`re looking in, James, have you considered advertising the 212 on HERE?
