Very early (1982) Mk IV (chassis number AK02) for sale in Luxembourg for 195,000 Euros (£157,200).

The Mk IV Register describes this car as being a 'factory prototype' - lhd, blue with black leather, 427 side-oiler, bonnet scoop and sidepipes.

The car looks pretty original in the photos.

Wasn't this the car on ebay last year for 30T$ with the damaged front?

It`s definitely been for sale on that site in that condition for that price since December of 2011, so buying now would represent a saving of around £6,000 due to exchange rate variation! Maybe by December 2021 I`ll be able to afford it!!!

AK 02 was one of four 'factory prototypes' all with 427 side-oilers and all built in 1982. AK01 was black with red leather interior, AK03 was red with red leather interior, AK04 was black with tan leather interior.

The car that appeared on ebay was AK 1002, also built in 1982, the third of the Autokraft MkIVs numbered from AK 1000 onwards and one of the early cars shipped to the US without an engine.

EmmanuelD in an old thread on this forum said that he used to own AK02 (or AK1002?) ... It was red and carburetted.

He wrote : "I use to have AK02 with a 351 Windsor, I did not like the car, it had no power and was heavy. I think I paid $39K for it about 3 years ago". At that time, it was said to be for sale in europe by FlorentMoulin...

Can it be the same car ?

EmmanuelD's car sounds like one of the early federalised cars, hence the underpowered engine. This car appears to have the original 1982 prototype specification, according to the Mk IV Register.  Underpowered 427 side oiler? [;)]
