so it is supposed to be a COX car ?

edit: it was written in the auction : CSX1013 [:o)]...

A replica built in Las Vegas around UK-sourced bodywork. I hope the buyer enjoys his Chevelles and Cudas.

TLegate

Ooops, I typed 'buyer' but meant 'seller'. Brain trouble..

Weren`t the CSX1*** cars supposedly built at Frimley, but were actually done by Brooklands before they became 'AC Heritage'? If you look at the last couple of pics in gallery 16 & then gallery 17 on the Bashers` website you can see the bootlid (trunk!) is marked CSX1000. [;)]
It would be nice to see pictures of this Cobra that are less than 4 years old!

There were 14 continuation cars commissioned by Carroll Shelby from AC with chassis numbers CSX 1001 upwards in 2005/6. The CSX 1000 series cars are still sold by Shelby American, but with bodies and chassis now built by North Devon Metalcraft.

   Here's CSX 1001

So that's how they can advertise the Cobra bodies (Devon Metalcraft, I mean). Aren't they all Kirkhams nowadays?

The CSX 1000 series cars have 'English built' bodies which is used to justify their high prices.

The premium for a CSX number to me is not worth it. The future will tell whether these cars will appreciate enough to make it worth while. The sales I've seen of Continuation Shelby's at this time do not seem to warrant it. Might as well get a Kirkham... They hold their value well...

I didn`t finish my post of earlier, where I was going to reference back to a previous post of mine about NDM supplying Shelby; I wonder at what point in the run they took over the job?

Hi Tech build the grp Superformance Mk 111 rollers which are licenced by Shelby with one set of moulds and the grp CSX 6000 Series (427) Shelby cars ($80k)with another (slightly more accurate set of moulds). However you will pay an extra $30,000 for the privilege of having a 'REAL ONE'!

The CSX 6000 aluminium (427) cars use Kirkham built bodies and chassis but to Shelby's specifications and the most expensive CSX 1000 series have the NDM bodies.
