S F Edge registered the name of the company as AC (Acedes) Cars Ltd in 1927 when he acquired total control. I see some earlier AC cars of the 1920's are sometimes called Acedes (e.g. by owners, cars for sale, and even the ACOC register) but is this actually correct?

I can't find the use of the name Acedes by AC in any literature prior to 1927. Can anyone advise please?

   Many thanks
