Does anyone have any knowledge of the whereabouts and current owner of '66 Cobra, chassis number COB 6054 which was originally UK registered JGF 272D?

The car's 1st owner was my wife's uncle who recently died. We now have some original photo's of the car when in his ownership which the current owner may be interested in copies of.

A google search gives a Belgium website showing pictures of the car at old timers meeting at the Nurburgring in 2010 i believe. One of the pictures shows its original UK registration number but doing a vehicle check for that number plate does not find anything, so very likely that it has been exported and is now residing in Europe somewhere.

Last known info (?) shows it as of 2002 still in the ownership of Otto Reedtze-Thote in Denmark. He brought it from the Rothschild family in 1978 who in turn brought it from the first owner. When purchased it was converted from right to left-hand drive by Brian Angliss (which in the minds of some people must mean it was re-chassied and re-bodied! :) However, in the real world, it sounds like it's still a lovely original car!!

Although this is great detective work, I would have exercised a little more caution, and not published personal details including phone numbers on a public access forum. I am all for free speech but also respect personal privacy.

Migge

I would add more pics but don't know how!

Andy, You are absolutely right, the telephone numbers listed are official numbers from their homepage visible for everybody in the WWW, if not I would not have listed them here, for sure.

Hmm, it is more or less a high jack but maybe You would like to see some members of its (and Your) family tree in action.

Hi Uwe, That is fine about the telephone numbers. I was making a general point of principle and not being personal. I recognise the photo of the back of our green Cobra with Bill driving (at the Nurburgring I presume). I have never raced in the Oldtimer on the short circuit, but twice in the Marathon on the Nordschleife with John Bendall and his Cobra. Fabulous!
