Updating the Register but unable to read the number plate of the 2nd fastback behind the nearest CF 46 to find its CF number. The pic was obviously taken at a Club meeting somewhere.... ? Does anyone recognise it ?

   Thanks in advance [:)]

Edit:Just discovered it was seen at the AC rally in '88.

The ACOC Archive has the following grainy b&w photo published in ACtion of Sept 1988.

The event was the ACOC National Day at Berrow Wood School Gloucestershire.

The wheels, number-plate backgrounds, auxiliary lights, windscreen wiper positions and slightly open bonnet are all similar!

The 2 owners were G Cormack and Ian Clarke. It is not recorded to whom each car belonged. Cormack's car won the Class by a short head.

The event report also records the prescence of Alex Jacob's sole Vintage Six - and one such car is discernible in the background of your much better photo.

Looks beyond reasonable doubt that JLH 182K was the second AC 428 Fastback!

   Merry Xmas!

Great many thanks ! Interesting re-reading the original road test at the very bottom and the comment by John Taylor of "Country Life" : "Instead of being a luxury car with performance it is essentially a sports car that has acquired an air of luxury", Can't remember reading any other road test this way round ? Memorable nonetheless [8D]

Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year too !
