Hello!
I see only one horn, but two simmetrical horn brakets!
may be i am missing an Horn?
The two are identical? or each has a tone? Same part number?
Thanks!
Eddie

Hi Eddie,
Not sure if this is correct for all years but mine has 2 x Lucas Windtone horns, one is a high note and the other a low note. They should be marked up H and L but if not you can tell them apart by the length of the coil.  Let me know if you need a photo.
Kind regards
Nick

My Ace also has Low and High tone horns. I think they are Lucas WT614s.

Thank you to both of you,
i had a look under the bonnet, but not sure what i have!
The coil seems rahter small, but not sure wich horn it is.
I can not see any H or L marking.
however i will continue looking and source the tone i dont have.
From the photos i see on line, they seems handed, so i should be able to recognise them.
Thanks!
Eddie

I took the horn off, and still can not see any marking.
but from the side of the spiral I understand I have the WT618, so i need to source a WT614.

Hi Eddie, I've attached some pictures, hope this of help. The H and L is marked just inside the trumpet.

found it yesterday!
thanks so much, it was really faded, and difficult to see. Got a low, so i will look for a High.
thanks!!

Hello!
I have not yet found a Windtone horn High note.
Anybody has one for sale??
Thanks!!

I bought one supposedly in good working order on e-bay, and when i removed the cap it was a lump of rust....
would like to avoid another similar suprise.

Hi Eddie
Reproduction horns are quite readily available but I totally understand wanting to fit original and I'm in a very similar position, I have 4 horns, only one of which is a high note and I have 2 working low notes. As far as i can tell the only difference between the H and L is the length of the trumpets. My plan is to swap the trumpets from one horn to another. Not sure how successful this will be! I'll let you know how I get On.
Kind regards Nick

Hello,
indeed i have seen the repro ones, but would like to have a matching pair and i would like to keep the original one.
So this is why i was looking for another original.
i seems to have found one, from a good seller. Hopefully will be with me soon. Again i found it on e-bay.

i am not sure about the internals, but a visible difference from the H and L, is that looking at them from the coil side the L horn coil wind clockwise, the H tone wind anticlock wise.

in attacchement the Windtone manual, hopefully of some use.

Best,
Eddie
