The car is complete we started her up to give it a test run and noticed water dripping from under the Dash. Traced it back to the heater valve at the back of the Heater Box and determined that it is shot. A helluva job to get the box out and suspect it will be fun to put it back.
   
   Does anyone know from which car the heater box came from ???
   
   Also just been ripped off by a guy that had two Clear Hooter switches to replace the melted ones in the car, he hit me up for $240, ouch !!

I had a similar situation with mine. Removing the heater box is entertaining, it's a tight fit and the difficulty depends on how your central console is fitted (mine had the original heater control cables which have the knobs moulded onto the cables requiring them to be removed at the engine bay end). Once the box is out the matrix is easily removeable. I had mine rebuilt by a radiator specialist (Brighton Radiators) for a fairly reasonable £70 or so. Reconnecting all the cables is tricky, one of mine broke and I've yet to bother re-fitting it.
   
   On the subject of reasonable (and typically after you have bought) Brian Eacott has almost all of the Clear Hooter switches (lacks windscreen wiper) - he kindly sold me a near set of mint switches for a tenner each.

Hi Cliff,
   
   We have looked at rebuilding the valve but it is completely corroded, hence my question does anyone know the origin of the darn thing ???
   
   For the time being we have bypassed it completely as we have to get a wheel alignment and then the car is being tuned today. We are then looking at getting it transported down here in the near future, I will go up to Ballina and collect all of the bits and pieces like wheels , spare doors, various manifolds etc.
   
   Will post a photo when it is all done.
