On past showings, I expect that it will fetch more than that .  Hurst park Autos have a known car at what they say is below current auction values .

Yet another coupe is up for sale CF65 is with RM at Monaco on May 1st. Estimate 60-80,000 euros. Looks like a number of Coupe owners have decided to take advantage of the current price boom. As far as I can tell the car at Coys failed to sell so the Bonhams and RM cars (both at reasonable estimates) should stabalise prices for better or worse.

cf24

Does anybody know to what level the bidding went on the Coys car ?

cf24

Clifford - What is a reasonable estimate ?

The only quantitive value is what the market will pay at an auction , AND , the pervious sales have indicated that the market has been prepared to pay much more than the latest auction house estimates .

I would therefore expect the 2 cars coming up for auction to sell for much more than the auction house estimate .

If so , the market value will be reaffirmed , but if not , then there will be some uncertainty about the values .

And here's the link to it...

The angle of the photograph makes it look very attractive too.

Do post up the result if anyone finds out.
And good luck to the fortunate new owner whoever that might be.

The car sold for £65300 , including buyers premium.

Let us now see what the RM auctions car sells for at Monaco .

Odd result, which suggests that the over £100k sales late last year were a blip.

On the contrary , I see that the ex Cyril Wickes convertible has actually had its asking price increased from £145k to £175k !!!

So , today , who really knows what the true values are.

cliffordl

And the AC 428 number plate only £8500 - not expensive for the ultimate registration.

nikbj68

Do you know if the plate remained with the car? It would be a shame for them to have parted ways after the Coupé went for so reasonable a price compared to recent sales (although bang-on estimate). Seems crazy that it`s almost 1/3 of the price of the Convertible you mention above!

cf24

Yes - But the convertible is not ACTUALLY sold !!!!!
