Wow: it did! What a car! Is it what it looks like - a Shelby 427S/C?

It's a Kirkham 289 FIA replica. I built it last year fully decked out with a period correct looking 289 with webers. still tweaking the webers. The side pipes came off an original Fia CSX, but were very restrictive. Too much baffling, so this winter I had a new set built. The webers need a lot of flow in order to deliver the power, so I'm curious how that will go this spring. The engine should put out 450 Hp!!

PS It has been great comunicating with a lot of you via this forum. These contacts have helped me greatly with locating parts and expertise to restore my Aceca.

   Thanks

They come from Roger Kraus racing (California). They sell a bunch of historic/vintage type tyres. They are bias ply and stick fantastic!

"BUMP!" is a term for getting your thread back to the top of the list on the main forum page....when you can`t think of anything better to say! I noticed in several other posts that folk wanted to post pics but didn`t know how, and rather than put a link into every thread, I thought I`d just bump this one up to the top!
ADMIN...Do you have the facility to make 'sticky' threads so that forum rules, 'how to`s ' etc can be easily found?
If not, the JUMP TO: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS feature works fine!

Yes I see your red X, but I think I'm being a little dim. How did you and how do we post photos here ? ....Cheers - John.

The Red 'X' means that Imageshack is a no go.
I guess due to server restrictions on bandwidth we have no gallery facility here?
OK. To put photies in your post that are on your PC: (Helps to have 2 internet explorers open, one with this forum, the other with photobucket etc.)

  • 1. Go to http://photobucket.com & register(free & anonymous!).
  • 2.When offered the 'choose an image' box, browse your computer to find the picture you want to share with us, then press 'upload' .
  • 3. If neccesary, resize the picture to 320x240(as the Ace below is)or 640x480(big Cobra above) using the 'edit' & 'resize' features, then copy the 'IMG' stuff in the bottom box, such as: [lMG]http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q113/nikbj68/37dsmall.jpg[/lMG]

  •
  • 4. Come back to this forum, then either start new thread, post reply or reply with quote as  normal, but when you want to insert the picture, press the button, then paste the copied bit from above between the [lMG] codes like this:
       [lMG]http://www.racecar.co.uk/acoc/forum/icon_editor_image.gif[/lMG]
  • 5. Hey Presto! picture in post.

If you want to use a picture already on the 'net, simply right click on it, select 'properties', copy the address(URL) 'http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q113/nikbj68/37dsmall.jpg' bit and paste it as above.

   Here endeth the lesson!
   Cheers, Nik.

I think I should edit the instructions slightly!
When copying the "IMG CODE" bit from Photobucket, simply paste it into this forum, without pressing the button, as this duplicates the [lMG][/lMG]bit.
