So glad to see it in a good home, though I do hope they give it a blast from time to time! Dick would hate to see it sit and rot. So sad that such a nice guy left the planet before his time.

   Still quite amazing, even if it was only over 180!!!

I had heard there was "the rest of the story", so to speak, that another timing light (Ford I believe) clocked Dick at the same time at 202. Fact or fiction...I have no idea.[;)]

Not that I'd trust any timing device to be 100% accurate, but I'm happy to give Dick the benefit of the doubt! Lots to be amazed about though....like how does a car with the aerodynamics of a garden shed reach such speeds, plus I'd expect any 427 Cobra to reduce itself to its component parts at that velocity.
