Woodies

Have just seen in ACOC 60th Anniversary magazine, on page 26, a picture of an AC Two Litre "woody" ("woodie"?).  What a cracking car!

   Hopefully this or a similar AC Woody  does exist,  As Bertrand Lesuer would like to restore one to tow his racing Ace Bristol BEX1205 to Classic Leman 2010  ........
   
   The LeMans Classic will never be the same as Goodwood Revival, but it would be nice to see a area for period transporters and support vehicles.  ( doesn't come across Entent Cordial,  Both events support Historic and Classic Racing,  long may they continue )

   I would not know, I have been to every Revival,but never to the Classic LeMans.Wpuld love to go,maybe next year.

The bodies of AC 2 litre Saloons do have the habit of rotting away, Could be the ideal material for a woodie or two.
   
   There is a very strong following especially in USA for 1940s & 1950s Woodies  with clubs throughout the States, The UK also has a woodie club or two, Not sure if any of the clubs know of the odd AC 2 litre Woody Wagon hiding away awaiting some Gullllible Soul to be brave ?? and take up the challange.

   Although there are actually 12 "l"s in gullible it is in fact commonly mis-spelled using THREE.

   Blimey... over a fortnight! Well done that man. Actually, it was mis-spelled with 2 L`s until 1948, when it was pointed out that it would be pronounced 'Goolible' and the OED entry was changed, but no matter.[;)]
