How to pull out the transmission and bellhousing?

Is it possible to pull out the bellhousing and the t5 and keep the engine in place?

I disassembled and assembled the complete car for my rework but don't know if it is possible just to pull the transmission and bellhousing.

I need to do it because the clutch release arm has a broken spring at the pivot side and i need to replace the arm now.

I installed the engine together with the clutch and bellhousing and afterwards installed the transmission to avoid handling problems and damages after the new paint job was done.

Can i disassemble the bellhousing from the engine in the car with engine in place or is there not enough room inside the frame, cross tubes and body to do so?

Don't want to pull the engine.

And the next time i will replace all worn out parts......[:I]
Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler!

Hi Uwe,

I think it is not possible to get the transmission out without shifting the engine to the front. I can't really remember but I believe I tried it out during my rework and it didn't work.
