Robin Duggan from South Africa is restoring a Brooklands Ace and requires a new radiator. Anyone know what it is or what car it comes from?

I supplied them to AC for the last series Aces and they were standard 1993 Mustang units. You could check on line with some of the aftermarket units available. Compare dimensions and inlet/outlet position and you can get a nice alloy rad or a factory type replacement.

Most parts on the Ace Mk1 and MK2 is from either a Ford Granada Mk3 or Mustang, engine related items are Mustang generally. Mark IV do you have a list of the parts and sources, I'm collecting the ones I know?

I have the invoice copies from the parts I supplied to AC Brooklands in 1999-2000 era. I will dig them up and post in the near future.

I had occasion to replace the rad on my 4.6L composite recently, due to damage sustained last year when breaking a lower ball joint (see separate posting)
   
   I managed to bag the last Ace radiator in stock at RedLine (a rare article indeed) but did look around at some alternatives. The main problem I found, was that none of the stock replacements seem to have the four welded fixing brackets located at 170mm (6.75") measured down from the top, two each front and rear, with (what are supposed to be) round fixing holes in them.
   
   
   The closest aftermarket rad I could find was http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/aluminium-radiator-693mm-x-458mm-cobra-dax compared to the Ace radiator dimensions of 703 (27.75") x 435 (17.125") x 60mm (2.36"). Some of the aftermarket Mustang rads measure up to 95mm (3 3/4") in thickness, which may cause a problem with accommodating the electric cooling fan. However, the Mustang 1993 unit does look pretty close http://www.cjponyparts.com/flex-a-lite-aluminum-radiator-manual-5-0l-1979-1993/p/RADA14/ I would certainly be interested to know the actual spec of Mustang rad supplied to AC Cars and am guessing the fixing brackets were added in house.

I have found some files with parts and part numbers we supplied to ACCG in 1999 to 2000. The radiators we sent were for the 4.6 Ace/Aceca models are were PN F6ZZ-8005-C which were universal V8 replacement units that accommodated either a manual or auto transmission.
   
   I do have a PDF file of all of the parts we supplied for the Brooklands Aces/Acecas as well as for the Superblower and CRS models.
   
   If the registrars would like to contact me I will gladly supply this file for future reference.
