A Question for Terry

   I came across this picture on 'Octane' (link to url below) and was wondering what the car in the background was. I suspect it might be the Ecosse Signature developed from the 3000ME.
   
   Am I correct, and if so, is it in running order?

Yes Mark, it is a Signature, and no she is not running. The image was taken for the 3000ME article that appeared in the April 2010 Octane and shows part of my collection.

And a very interesting collection it is.
   
   In my opinion, the Signature is not a patch on the ME. However it's a unique part of AC history.
   
   Is its restoration a long-term project?

It's not a long term project Mark, however it is finding the time to work on her. Everything is there but needs work on the suspension, front body work, electrics and engine. Perhaps next year....

   If you could just strip out the Fiat engine and replace it with an Alfa V6 - 2.5 would be fine but a 3.0 or 3.2 even better! Looks and sounds wonderful!

I saw a Signature on the stand at the Motorshow in the '80's and still have the sales brochure from there. It was a very nice looking car but seemed too low volume to be occupying such an expensive stand.
