Noticed this car for sale in France - I expect it is a known car, but just in case........

Yes, this is registration MD 7093, chassis number 6405, the early (1921) four-cylinder four-seater that was owned by Lord Montagu. It was on display at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu for many years and was for sale at the Beaulieu Autojumble last year.

Here's the same car, looking a little better, a few years back:

(Photo now removed) - I tried bringing the picture across from a website but it was huge here, so here's a link instead:

I thought it was a nice big photo!
I found this one in the parent directory:

   Sublime to ridiculous? [;)]

It`s an elegant car, I hope someone can bring it back to use, assuming they can offer a "PROPOSITION RAISONABLE".

with two "N", please, Nick [;)] ... But the question is what is a sensible offer for such a car ?

nikbj68

Mes excuses, je copiés directement de la publicité!

French Frie

You're forgiven, then [;)] ... But seriously,  what does it worth ?

Are Mk IV's really that inexpensive?

Flyinghorse

My logic was a Mkiv is £60-£90k  and a vintage AC £20-30k (going by recent prices)

Perhaps you are thinking of the fabled lightweight MkIV  which of the original 26 made 45 remain.

Graham,  I was thinking that it would be nearer £15k, as it would appear to require quite a lot of work.  The cars that have sold recently at nearer £30k have had something special about them, super condition, low milage etc..
