brake pads

Can anyone tell me the make and model #'s or part 3's of the brake pads on my 1988 MKIV ???  I want to retain the stock brakes but considering a set of PORTERFIELD pads for a little extra braking.

Ron,
   
   the front disc brakes should be BMW E23 from the year 03.77-07.86. The original part number from ATE is 13.0460-9031.2
   
   As far as I know there where at least two different brakes used for the rear axle. My rear brake is from an Aston Martin. If you have a picture I can tell you more.
