Thermostat stuck open

So, most of my work on Ae220 has been trouble free but this conundrum needs the expertise of better men.

The thermostat in the pictures is stuck open. Better than stuck closed.

So, I have some questions.

1: How do you get it out of the housing (trying not to damage anything)

2: Can you get replacements?

3: Are there any other alternatives?

I note you have removed the grub screw which holds it in!
The thermostat should push out!
Brian Eacott should be able to supply a modern equivalent.
I can supply a new housing which uses a Mishimoto thermostat which have various heat ranges, i have a 68 degree centigrade heat type!!
