Happy Holidays to all,

I am looking for a part source for two items. The interior light lens or assembly between the seats and the rear fender guards.

The fender guards were rolled to fit at Autokraft. The interior light is a truck body part. Look at a commercial truck supply house for a back up lamp assembly.

I believe the interior light lens is a Rover part. I tried an interior lens from a Rover that was in my friend's shop and it fit. When I tried to order one, the dealer parts department said it was discontinued. The Rover from which I tried the lens was a mid 1980s model. John

why do you need to replace  "spats"?

Mark IV

Jim,

Some cars were delivered without the "spats" I had a couple of customers who did not want them as they didn't look "60s". The smart customers had them built, but not installed so they got 'em wrapped in bubbles for furure install.

Thanks everyone. I see what I can find. Would the light be an interior light or other light on a Rover? The "spats" are fine. The only problem is the lens in the interior light is lifted out by the wind. I am concerned the lens might fly out of the car instead of landing in the cockpit. Is there an O-ring or grommet I have lost?

Found it! With a quick search on the web the lens and interior lamp appeared.

Go to: http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/PRC1634.cfm for the lens then

   JBo,

What did you miss...I was the one who thought the lens was a truck part! (although I think I got that idea from some putz named Brian Angliss....go figure!!!!)

Soon, my pretties, the true story of my involvement and dealings with Autokraft will be published in ACtion.....as soon as I have enough sober moments to finish writing the story.....then off to the editor for his red pencil to excise the fluff and "can't put it down" reading will be at hand!!!!
