Going through a few photo albums, I came across a few shots which may be of interest to Ace owners and enthusiasts. About time they were shared.

Apologies for hiccups, I am just getting the hang of uploading images!

This car could be described as the 'production prototype'. Essentially of the same exterior appearance as the production cars, there were some differences between this and production cars under the bodywork.

A car presumably unknown to anyone who did not visit the factory during their construction.
I think these cars (there were four as I remember) went to Bahrain.
Instantly noticeable is the bonnet, very different from the standard Ace.
They created many difficulties due to the Air conditioning, the design of the cooling being unable to cope with the environment the cars worked in.

The grey car has the Ford/Yamaha "SHO" engine, a three litre V6 that Ford pushed Brian to use. It was normally seen in "East-West" configuration in the Taurus SHO.

Circa 1999 there were three Ace protypes sitting at Brooklands, the first Sierra 4x4 based proto, a pair "Brooklands Ace" prototypes of various vintages an sevral incomplete units.
