Demister vents for 56 Ace

Does anyone know where I can get a set of the demister vents that mount on top of the dash for a '56 Ace? Were they common to some other makes or models?

Do you have a curved or flat windshield car? From the pics I have seen they are different. If you have a curved windshield car, I believe the Cobra ones are the same.

If you are in the US, try Ron Leonard (Sport & GT)of Durango ,Col 970 259-0108 for the flat windshield demister vents. Ron is the best source for Ace/Aceca parts in the US and if he does not have them, he might be able to tell you what other cars had them. Interesting to see a car so close to mine in Chassis # and I think our cars shared the same shipping container on the way to the US. If you are in the US, what part of the country are you in?

Cars AEX123 through AEX126 all left the factory on the same day, 15 Feb. 1956. AEX127 however left Thames Ditton 10 days later, according to the Ace register.
   Noting the data on the first owner as stated in the register I wonder if 127 was first delivered to the USA as the rest was.
   BTW, I saw AEX123 for sale with a dealer in Belgium in 1997, just as stated in the register.

OK, does anyone out there have some decent pictures of the demister vents on the early flat-screen Aces? Or maybe a picture and some dimensions? I can't find any from the normal sources, so looks like I'll have to have a pair made up. I believe these early cars had the rather 'blocky' demisters, as opposed to the later cars that had the longer, 'louver' type vents. If anyone has even one extra, I'd be interested. Someone must have 2 - the missing ones from my car! Thanks for any leads.

   I have a 57 flat screen and can get some pictures.  They are maybe 3" or 4" long and a "hood" to direct air towards the screen.  If you want to look at them, I'm in Connecticut.  I can make a drawing but it might take a couple weeks.
