Can anyone tell me how the air flow regulation knobs (either side of the centre console) were originally set up to work. My left side is broken and the right has been altered to act as a choke - with the knob glued-on[:(!]
In addition any idea where these knobs can be sourced from?

Depending on the year of the car, each knob controls an air box which is located on each side of the engine compartment in early cars and in the inner fenders in later cars! The control box is similar to that of the street MKIII cars and I believe the knobs are too! They are Lucas knobs, same as MGs' and jags. E-bay is a good start!  I will check!
