[:)]To all, this is not particularly an AC item but should be of interest. I was sent these photos by a client. The story goes that a gentleman from New York bought a farm in Portugal for the back taxes. On the property was a large barns with the doors welded shut. After taking possession of the farm The gentleman and his wife cut the doors open. Please click on: www.intuh.net/barnfinds/afa70.htm for the best barn find I have ever seen.    Thanks for the link, A-Snake. The barn itself didn`t look old enough for the cars to have been stored in there from their era, but it`s a great tale. I notice that the facts were uncovered by Tom Cotter, author of "The Cobra in the Barn", a very enjoyable read indeed!
   (and NOT just about Cobras!!!)

   Wow. Thanks again A-Snake!  A real Barnes & NobleFind! Thanks, I`ll have to get that now. Looks like it has the story of the Phil Spector Daytona....I hope it has up to date pics, I`d love to know that it hasn`t been restored to death!

   In answer to my question....
   "The coupe was acquired by Philadelphian neurosurgeon Dr Frederick Simone.... I think it would be safe to say that all of us can be thankful that it was Dr Simone who was able to add CSX2287 to his collection. (He`s)...more than happy to share his love of historic vehicles and vintage race cars. Providing free, open to the pubic(sic.!!!) by appointment tours of groups up to about 40 his only request is that you sign his quest book. He said that the Coupe does not run but that they will be working on that. And that Shelby and others have been there to see the car and have agreed with him that the Coupe should be left un-restored like most of his other vehicles to truly represent the car as it was and not depreciate its value. He said that Peter Brock on the other hand would like to see it restored....the Daytona is away to have the engine brought to a running condition and will not be available for viewing for a few months... "
