They have just announced in the Swedish press new car manufacturing in Trollhättan (home of SAAB automobiles), just north of Gothenburg, Sweded:
"British car manufacturer AC Cars, in collaboration with Swedish company T-Engineering, will produce hand-built sports cars at the former Saab factory. The models to be manufactured are the AC Cobra GT Roadster and GT Coupe. Production materials are expected to arrive next week, and initial production will create about 35 jobs, with plans to scale up after the summer. The agreement also grants AC Cars access to the T Legacy Track, a test track previously owned by Saab."

I've only just seen your post referring to 'British car manufacturer AC Cars'. AC hasn't made and hasn't been licenced to make cars for many years. Likewise, there's no record T-Engineering making or having made cars either.

Its no riddle, its been all over the Swedish press since the end of February, just search for AC motors Trollhättan.

The news seems to have been received with a little scepticism. Seeing is believing!

You can read about T-Engineering on their web site https://www.t-engineering.se/
thought they don't mention the AC motor agreement. The company and its subsidiaries
seem to be competent. They have the engineering know how plus a test track.

I reviewed all sources, Swedish included, but find no evidence whatsoever that:

• AC intends to renew its long-expired car manufacturing licence.
• T-Engineering plans to make cars.

As a not-made-by-approved-manufacturer car cannot be road registered in most developed countries, AC's intentions are a riddle to many observers, me included.

Sorry you can't find any of the blurg on the internet.
I also wondered how they will get the vehicle through CoC inspection and which route they will
take through vehicle regulations, either as short run manufactures or full blown manufactures.
AC's licensee had issues with this in Germany with TuV certification I recall. Can't find the origonal post on the forum referencing this

P.S. prototype apparently came out of production in June
