What a shame that the last MOT expired over 2 years ago. What would happen if you drove it home and had an accident on the way? How would your insurance company view it?

I thought pre 1960 UK registered vehicles no longer needed an MOT.

Looks like this car is in good condition, as far as you can see in the photos anyway. It's a shame so many of these cars still get scrapped or broken up for parts.

Since 2012, it doesn't require an MOT - it's exempt (being manufactured before 1960 and therefore can be taxed as a classic/historic vehicle). It's very simple to arrange, by filling in the DVLA Form V112 and declaring the car was manufactured/registered before Jan 1960.

I know perfectly well it doesn't require an MOT by law, I just think that any purchaser would be much happier if it had one. I am surprised that insurance companies do not insist on one, or at least a report by a motor engineer every year on its condition.

Lovely looking car, looks in great condition and a good price considering how much some have gone for recently.
A car is only original once, but, you can modify it as many times as you like.

My car my rules.

Amazing that it is a one owner car, or does the ad imply that the seller is the second owner?  It does look to be a lovely example.
