At the funeral of an old friend of mine recently there was a collage of old photo,s, two of which were of an AC Ace that he used to own in the sixties. I am intrigued to find out what happened to the car. The registration number was VPA 999. I would like to post the photo,s on here but not sure if that,s possible. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Hi Vince. Have a look HERE for photo posting tips, VPA999 is a very early Ace, with 1954 Alpine & 1955 RAC Rally history!

Interesting to read the various options open for downloading pictures. pity Our Forum didn't go for the easiest most friendly version, like AC Cars ,  frugal comes to mind..[B)]

Seriously can you post a few pictures of EA28.... I will email a few pictures to you just in case you need a pic or two.[;)]

Thanks for the advice, it,s really interesting to see where the car is now. I think the attached links should work. Interestingly, my friend who owned the car had a very bad accident in North Wales and was paid out by his insurers as it was deemed a write off. I wondered if it had been salvaged and re built and it appears that it has.

Great to see these photos Vince, look at that numberplate, it certainly bears witness to a life lived fast!

My friend Derek used  to meet up with his mates at weekends in all weathers to compete in hobby rallies. You can see from the picture snow on the ground, wellies and duffle coats were the order of the day, I think this was before the introduction of speed limits.
