Hi guys, I normally frequent the MK IV forum as I'm converting a Mk IV to all aluminium FE power.
Along the way I came across this diary of a buyer who (it seems) bought new 427 Cobra back in '66. It's a bit haphazard in layout, but scroll down an it's an interesting read, especially the problems and the mention of an air valve for the drivers feet, which I would be grateful if somebody could explain?

I believe the air valve was one of a pair of pull levers on the dash, like a choke knob, which opened ventilation to the driver's and/or passenger's feet.

Pulling out the knob closes the vent, pushed in the vent is open. [:D]

Thanks guys, but if one end of the vent was in the footwell, where was the entry point? Maybe on one the two brake grills on the front end?
Anyhow, can't be much good in traffic, which is where you really need it unless it was an electric fan.

Yep, about as much use as the ashtray at speed!

with the heat generated by the 427, it never did much good at all in CSX 3327. Best solution was cloudy days and top not erected!
